I’m already on PPP, what do I need to do?
If you are already enrolled on PPP, wish to remain on the program, and your banking information hasn’t changed, you don’t need to do a thing! Your first withdrawal will occur on March 1.
What are the fees related to PPP?
- $1.00 – per month, per attempted withdrawal
- $50.00 – declined payment fee for NSF transactions, including those incurred if the LPN provides incorrect banking information
- $25.00 – administration fee to issue refunds
I want to join the program! What do I need to do?
- Log in to your CLPNS portal
- On the left-hand side of the page, select Sign up for PPP
- Have your banking information and a void cheque available
I missed the first withdrawal on March 1st but still want to join. What do I need to do?
You may enroll at any time of the year. If you join “mid-program,” you will simply pay the remaining balance when you renew. Please note that scheduled withdrawals occur annually between March and October.

What is the PPP withdrawal schedule?
Withdrawals are scheduled for the first of each month, from March 1 to October 1.
I am part of the program now but I want to cancel. What should I do?
- Log in to your CLPNS portal
- On the left-hand side of the page, click “My PPP Payments.”
- Click Cancel subscription
Cancelling your subscription will automatically stop the payments, and the CLPNS will no longer charge you monthly. The CLPNS will apply any payment(s) made up to the date of cancellation to your upcoming renewal.
*LPNs must cancel their PPP subscription or update their banking information at least 5 days before a scheduled withdrawal. Failure to make these changes in this time frame may result in an inadvertent withdrawal or an NSF fee.
Oops, my payment was declined. What happens now?
Declined because of insufficient funds?
- A $50.00 NSF fee will be charged for declined transactions.
- A $50 invoice will be posted on your CLPNS portal, and you must pay the balance before your next renewal
- The “missed” payment will be added to your balance owing at renewal
Declined because of incorrect banking information?
- A $50.00 NSF fee will be charged for declined transactions.
- A $50 invoice will be posted on your CLPNS portal, and you must pay the balance before your next renewal
- The “missed” payment will be added to your balance owing at renewal and;
- Log in to your CLPNS Portal.
- On the left-hand side of the page, click My PPP Payments.
- Click “Update” and make the necessary changes.
If a second payment is declined because of insufficient funds or incorrect banking information, the CLPNS will remove you from the PPP for the remainder of the year. If applicable, prepaid balances will be applied to your next renewal minus the required declined payment fees.
I’m on PPP but don’t plan on renewing as Practising next year. What do I do?
- Contact the CLPNS for a refund.
- Cancel your subscription by:
- Log in to your CLPNS portal
- On the left-hand side of the page, click My PPP Payments.
- Click Cancel subscription

What happens to my PPP payments if I do not renew by December 1?
If you do not renew on or before December 1, the CLPNS will issue a refund to your account for all payments made that year on the PPP, less a $25 administrative fee. The CLPNS will refund your account, and you must pay the licensure fee in full when you submit your annual renewal, plus a $100 late fee.
