In 2025 the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan (CLPNS) archived the LPN competency profile. The profile was replaced by the newly revised LPN Practice in Saskatchewan (2026) and LPN Practice Decision-Making Tool.

The LPN Practice in Saskatchewan (2026) document provides guidance to support LPNs in applying the Regulatory Practice Framework that focuses on aligning LPN competencies with client needs. These new tools, along with the Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics, guide safe, competent, and professional nursing practice across all settings.
