Use this application pathway if you are seeking registration and licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Saskatchewan and you meet one of the following criteria:
- You are currently licensed and registered as a Registered Nurse in Canada; or
- You completed a Canadian registered nursing degree or BScN nursing program and want to become an LPN.
This pathway is not for internationally educated nurses who are not already licensed or registered as a nurse in Canada, or for individuals who completed a Practical Nurse education program. If this pathway applies to you, complete and submit the Degree Nurse Application Form.
After the form is submitted, the CLPNS will contact you directly with next steps. Depending on your application, you may be asked to provide or complete the following:
Payment of the $200 application fee
- Identification documents
- Criminal record check
- Official transcripts
- Verification of Registration from each regulatory body where you are or were licensed
- Employment verifications
- CPNRE examination requirements
- Remedial education courses, if required
Important: Once your application is approved, you must pay the $450 licensure fee before you can begin practising as an LPN.
