Notice of Targeted Fee Increases for 2027

At its June 2, 2026 meeting, CLPNS Council approved targeted adjustments to specific applicant, administrative, and limited licensure-related fees. Most of the changes apply to applicants. A smaller number apply to existing LPNs, including the Non-Practising Certificate, Independent Practice Renewal, Verification of Licensure, late renewal fees, the SJLPN Licensure Fee, and the PPP administrative fee.

These changes are focused on areas where current fees no longer reflect the cost of delivering the related regulatory service. We know that any fee change can have a real impact. These decisions were not made lightly and are intended to better align specific fees with service costs, while avoiding a general practising licensure fee increase for 2027.

More information about the approved changes and the rationale for each change is available here.

Pre-Authorized Payment

The Pre-Authorized Plan (PPP) is a pre-payment option allowing LPNs to pay their licensure renewal fee in advance, directly from their bank account. Enrolling in the program avoids having a large lump sum payment near the end of the year.
