Newly Revised IV Push and CEP Guidelines Now Available

The IV Push Practice Guideline and Continuing Education Portfolio (CEP) Program have been updated and are now available.

This updated IV Push Guideline supports safe, competent, and client-centered medication administration by direct intravenous (IV) push, and reinforces expectations within the CLPNS Regulatory Practice Framework. IV push remains a beyond-entry-level competency, requiring appropriate education, training, and ongoing competence.

Members are encouraged to review the updated guideline and ensure their practice aligns with employer policies, Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics.

The updated CEP program reinforces that continuing education is a mandatory requirement for licensure and supports LPNs in maintaining competence through ongoing learning and self-reflection.

Updates include clearer guidance on CEP activity hour requirements, reporting, and the importance of aligning learning with individual practice.

Members are encouraged to review the updated program to ensure they meet requirements for annual licensure.

Registration Renewal Begins mid-October

Pre-Authorized Payment

The Pre-Authorized Plan (PPP) is a pre-payment option allowing LPNs to pay their licensure renewal fee in advance, directly from their bank account. Enrolling in the program avoids having a large lump sum payment near the end of the year.
