Addressing Racism in Healthcare
Racism in healthcare is a crisis issue that leads to poorer health outcomes, including death, for racialized people. Ending racism in healthcare is therefore a critical and necessary goal for ensuring equitable outcomes for everyone who seeks and receives care in the health system. Although ending racism in healthcare is critical, this doesn’t make it easy. A recent webinar from the Saskatchewan Health Quality Council provides healthcare providers with concrete and actionable advice on how to identify and disrupt racism in the health system.
