What’s your CEP plan for 2022?
The CLPNS is working on revisions to the professional growth plan to obtain clarity and purpose for our members to use as a continuing education opportunity.
What is a professional growth plan, you ask? A professional growth plan is a personal and professional evaluation tool. It follows a format to evaluate and reflect on your individual practice throughout the year.
The new and improved CLPNS Professional Growth Plan will be eligible for 16 CEP hours of Section A: Formal Activity. Additional learning activities will be involved in the growth plan that can be reported as separate CEP activities.
While we work to build the forms for you to use, you can begin your Professional Growth Plan by reviewing the 2020 Standards of Practice considering the following:
How do I demonstrate that I am upholding the 4 Standards?
Hint: use the listed indicators to come up with specific examples that are specific to your practice
Are there areas I should be developing more skills or knowledge?
Hint: use the indicators and examples from your review of the Standards

There is still time to register for the PPP. Please enroll by the 25th of any month between February and August to be part of the next scheduled withdrawal.
On the left-hand side page select Sign-Up For PPP.

When you join mid-program, you will pay the remaining balance when you renew. An invoice will be generated at your next renewal, displaying a balance for the month(s) you missed and any other outstanding PPPP related fees you may owe.
The CLPNS office will be closed to the public from June 26 to September 1 inclusive. to accommodate decreased staff. In-person meetings can be made by appointment. Please visit the staff page for contact information.
Culturally Safe Care CEP
Culturally safe care recognizes and strives to address inherent power imbalances in the healthcare system. Culturally safe care helps a healthcare environment to be free of racism and discrimination.
The Pre-Authorized Plan (PPP) is a pre-payment option allowing LPNs to pay their licensure renewal fee in advance, directly from their bank account. Enrolling in the program avoids having a large lump sum payment near the end of the year.
