October 7 2020 – Renewal is Approaching! – What’s New in Renewal? – Immunizations – C&I Committee Deadline!

Calculating your total 2020 practice hours? There will be one space for your total hours and another for your overtime Enter your total hours for 2020 and of those hours, enter in your overtime worked in the space beside. Remember, if you have more than one employer, you will need to claim your hours for each employment record.
Registered in Independent LPN Practice? State the number of practice hours you worked within your Independent Practice or while self-employed.
If you’re registered in Independent Practice, you will be required to renew this registration. Please complete your usual licensure renewal first and once complete, go to the My Independent Practice tab on the
Working in a Specialized or Advanced areas of LPN practice? State the approximate number of 2020 practice hours worked in your Specialized or Advanced area of practice.
REMINDER 2021 Practicing or GLPN licensure fee: $450.
As flu season approaches, LPN’s may be asked to provide immunizations to clients and colleagues. Any LPN that is considering providing this service is reminded to review the guideline document “Immunization” to ensure that they have the required competencies to do so. LPNs are authorized by the CLPNS to provide immunizations as an additional competency. Your employer may restrict this practice so you will need to review your employer policies.
DEADLINE: Oct. 15, 2020 The Council is currently seeking an LPN to serve as an alternate member of the C&I Committee. An alternate member will be utilized in the event of a conflict of interest within the committee and is an excellent candidate to replace other members as terms expire.

Pre-Authorized Payment
The Pre-Authorized Plan (PPP) is a pre-payment option allowing LPNs to pay their licensure renewal fee in advance, directly from their bank account. Enrolling in the program avoids having a large lump sum payment near the end of the year.
